About Us

PC Retro has been in the business of acquiring and recycling business class computer and related equipment for over 15 years.  PC Retro and its parent company Capitol Asset Recovery Inc. with its R2 certification work to ensure that all materials are accounted for and maintains a zero landfill policy.

PC Retro works with hundreds of companies, government organizations and individuals across the country to assist with safe and proper disposal of end of life IT assets.  PC Retro engages these organizations to identify what is currently done to dispose of legacy IT assets.  The PC Retro process starts by ensuring each IT recycling customer understand the importance of proper disposal in an environmentally friendly way.  Once contracted, PC Retro assists the customer with sorting, cataloging removal and disposal of all requested items.  Each customer is provided a final audit list of all removed items for verification.

Over 75% of the inbound computer equipment is refurbished and offered to customers through the PC Retro retail and online stores.  The PC Retro process begins by destroying any and all legacy data, operating systems or files as a part of the refurbishing process.  Any needed physical repairs are made and a fresh, licensed operating system is installed.  The equipment offered includes laptop and desktop PC’s, datacenter equipment, printers and specialty equipment.  The PC Retro retail stores provide a second life for EOL equipment and value to customers seeking to make a high quality technology purchase of refurbished equipment at a fair price, with a warranty.  The PC Retro Warranty policy leads the industry with a 90 day parts and labor warranty on all items sold and a continuing 1 year warranty on parts.
